Devops Engineer Role description
The DevOps platform engineer will work within the agile scrum team to design and deploy solutions to the cloud, which will allow automatic provisioning and management of environments the capability to continuously integrate containerization functionality and the automation of testing adopting the principles of infrastructure as code.
Devops Engineer Essential skills and experience
- Continuous Integration eg Jenkins UrbanCode SonarQube Nexus
- Containerisation eg Docker, Kubernetes
- Source code management tools such as GitHub
- BitBucket, RTC; Monitoring tools eg Nagios, Zabbix
- experience on the AWS cloud platform
- Infrastructure as Code experience using tools such as Terraform Puppet
- Ansible, Chef; System administration of Linux & Windows
- Automation Testing tools eg Selenium JUnit
- Coding & Shell Scripts using languages such as Bash, Ruby, YAML
