Our client is one of the UK's most exciting Managed Service Provider and ISP's, whom has undergone many acquisitions in recent years

They are looking for an Experienced Telecoms (voice and data) Field Engineer. Relevant technologies are wise and varied, and include: Optical Transmission, SDH, ADSL, Ethernet, Wavelength, System X, ISDN, COAX, Fiber, wireless, hubs, repeaters, PPP, Switches, bridges, digital line termination (DLT), digital local exchange (DLE), Outer Switch Modules (OSMs), Central Switch Modules (CSMs), transit switch (DMSU), Digital Subscriber Switch (DSS), AXE telephone exchange, Cisco, PBX/PABX, BT Openreach, broadband, Fibre optic cabling, Cat5, Cat 6, PSTN and more!

The premise of the works, is the preparation needed to decommission a national System X platform telecoms platform. As a field engineer, you will travel widely within the UK to visit Pop's and Datacenters, tasked with conducting site surveys to discover and document what is there at each site. In addition you will also be fulfilling many other decommissioning tasks on the physical network. Also, if with suitable experience, the role will also involve team leadership alongside improving the processes and procedures for the team (eg design of templates such as site survey etc)

This contract is outside IR35, has very competitive day rates/budgets, and is set to roll and roll for a long time, so if you have the, suitable telecoms field engineer experience, then apply now to find out more!
