Description

Data Architect

We are looking for an Data Architect. You must be SC eligible or already have SC Clearance.

Must have experience of a broad range of enterprise integration patterns to enable interoperability across an extended enterprise. You'll be able to contribute to an enterprise wide data domain model and communicate effectively on the data architecture to a diverse range of stakeholders. Experience of establishing enterprise data standards and models is essential whilst knowledge of asset intensive industry reference models is desirable (ISO55000, ISO19650, CFIHOS). The ability to exploit cloud (MS Azure) data management opportunities and Graph technologies (Neo4J) would be advantageous.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience working with common technologies and development stacks applicable to the domain you will be working within (SABSA, Cyber Essentials, Microsoft, AWS/
  • Cloud, VMWARE, CISCO similar).
  • Demonstrable experience as an enterprise technology, data or senior solution architect working in a complex and demanding business environment
  • Understanding of current and future technology, security or business trends.
  • Demonstrable ability to analyse and translate user requirements into technical solutions.
  • Ability to inform others using technical knowledge.
  • Experience in creating and delivering presentations and delivering key messages with impact to non-technical audiences.
  • The ability to apply architectural principles to business solutions.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and anticipate solutions from a complex source of business drivers.
  • The ability to communicate effectively across organisational, technical and political boundaries, understanding the context and making complex and technical information and language simple and accessible for non-technical audiences.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working within a complex multi-vendor outsourced IT environment.
  • The ability to assimilate and correlate disconnected documentation and drawings and articulate their collective relevance to the organisation and to high-priority business issues.
  • Experience using model-based representations that can be adjusted as required to collect, aggregate or disaggregate complex and conflicting information about the business.
  • Prior success as a Solutions Architect (or equivalent) working on large, complex, enterprise-scale projects.
  • Experience developing Enterprise-wide architecture strategies.
  • Experience and understanding of delivering end to end (business processes to infrastructure) support of enterprise-wide ICT solutions and large IT projects.
  • Finely tuned stakeholder management skills to ensure effective engagement at all levels.
  • Able to assess complex issues; and to apply originality in modifying existing approaches to solve problems.

Location: Cumbria

Pay rate: £800pd MAX Inside IR35
