SCCM Solution Architect - Remote
As a Principal Solution Architect (m/f/d) for system management and cloud technologies, the range of tasks includes existing on-premises components such as System Center Configuration Manager with more than 300,000 managed Windows systems, as well as new cloud-based components such as Intune in the client and server life cycle environment. The entire infrastructure life cycle is planned, implemented, and monitored at all levels of technology. Within the framework of the Cloud Solution Architecture, interdisciplinary requirements from all areas of the Digital Workplace are included and technical solutions as well as operational concepts are developed that integrate seamlessly into a holistic IT strategy.
tasks
- Integration of the system management architecture into a holistic IT strategy
- Responsibility for system management solutions and interfaces and self-responsible management of further development in accordance with the IT strategy, the latest technologies and specifications of design thinking and user experience
- Development of the solution architecture for cloud-based management of end devices and introduction of the solution at Daimler, as well as evaluation of the use of on-premises, co-management and cloud only solutions
- Align solution architecture with other architecture teams such as Active Directory, Windows Client Architecture, and IT Security
- Azure Account Owner, Cloud Solution Architecture and Cloud Consulting for Digital Workplace Services and their Technical Operational Concepts
- Evaluating the use of Azure Services (Logic Apps, Kubernets Services, Automation Runbooks, Functions, etc.) in the System Management Context
- Last-level support for operational issues, recurring issues, and major incidents for the on-premises environment and cloud-based components
- Self-responsible requirements engineering in the system management environment for new, interdisciplinary requirements based on business case considerations by
- Professional acceptance of solutions and transfer to regular operation with a focus on operational excellence
- Moderation and management of technical architecture sessions and design workshops both at a strategic and tactical level as well as with partners and customers
Qualifications
- Completed studies in computer science, business informatics or engineering or for example qualification
- At least 10-15 years of it experience
- 7 to 10 years of experience in the design, implementation and consulting of distributed applications in combination with software development life cycle tools and agile methods, as well as in all areas of IT operations
- 3 to 5 yearsof work experience in a cloud environment in seven or more of the listed technology areas: Relational databases, web Servers, PaaS, security, networks, containers, virtualization, encryption, storage, serverless, micro services, application development, migration, big data, machine learning or artificial intelligence
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the design and implementation of IT client services, as well as in client infrastructure management and Back End systems (on-prem and cloud based)
- Skills and knowledge to implement security controls and threat protection managed identities and access, and protect data, applications, and networks in cloud and hybrid environments as part of an end-to-end infrastructure
- Professional Level Certification in a Hyper Scale Public Cloud as Cloud Architect or similar (e.B AWS, MS Azure)
- Very good English in word and writing (minimum C1 level)
- A high level of intercultural competence, social competence, helpfulness and proactive task completion
- Very good understanding and the ability to reduce complex situations to their essential characteristics.
