Description
Our media client are hiring 2 Contract SREs (Site Reliability Engineers) to work on a video streaming programme.
Rate: Rate negotiable (Inside IR35)
Duration: 6 months rolling. 2+ years worth of work.
Location: West London but will consider candidates who need mostly remote
What you'll do:
- Design, create and deliver infrastructure, code or services to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of customer-facing services
- Troubleshooting and problem solving, alongside contributing to the security and stability of the environment
- Be part of a team that contributes to and leads new designs, architectures and standards for large-scale distributed systems spanning multiple territories and regions
Experience required:
- Linux System Administration experience (Ubuntu and/or Centos)
- Deployment and automation within at least one of AWS or GCP.
- Networking experience (Routing/LB/Switching)
- Comfortable with different types of Databases (SQL/NoSQL)
- Programming and Scripting in Python, Bash, Go or Java.
- Ansible, Terraform and/or Puppet for configuration management.
- CI/CD (Jenkins/GoCD/Concourse/gitlab-ci)
- Virtualisation - VMWare
- Monitoring (Nagios/Prometheus/Icinga or others)
