WebLogic Engineer
Whitehall Resources currently require an experienced WebLogic Engineer to work with a key client
*Please note this role falls inside IR35*
Role also requires candidate to undergo SC Clearance
Duties and Responsibilities
* Install and Upgrade Middleware Technologies
* Migration of Applications to the Cloud
* Migration of Databases and applications to the Cloud
* Backup & Recovery setup/testing (in conjunction with Database and Client teams)
* Troubleshooting applications and performance issues
* Working with Testing Engineers & DBAs
* Apply Database Patch Updates
Middleware Skills
* AWS knowledge desirable, specifically AWS Oracle RDS, EC2 and S3
* Additionally, experience with AWS Oracle RDS, ECS or EKS is a bonus
* Touch testing applications to ensure functionality
* Collaborating with other Oracle DBAs, Middleware, Linux and Testers
* Performing regular security updates & reviews to keep user data safe
* Mainly Middleware and applications are used. The following are used:
- Oracle WebLogic,
- Oracle Forms& Reports,
- Apache
- Tomcat
* Useful Experience for other Middleware, database and Desktop
- Visual Basic
- Java
- MS Access
- 3rd party Middleware Click/Progress/Prodacapo
- Tibco
- Oracle Database
