Windows Server Administrator (SCCM/Microsoft EndPoint Manager, Patching, Configuration Management, Security Hardening)
Cyberteam's client is an IT and Engineering Solutions company with operations throughout the EMEA region including Switzerland, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, UK, as well as the USA.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Lead technical discussions and assessment for patching of Windows Servers and other Microsoft products
- Ensure deployments in Microsoft Endpoint Manager are set as per agreed planned schedules
- Support troubleshooting of technical issues with patching & supervise efficient application of various windows patches and security controls.
- Supervise and guide external vendor
- Watch all system alerts and assist to resolve complex issues in system hardware and software.
- Manage efficient work of Servers & system and provide support to everyday operations.
- Manage and monitor system plans and supervise all activities & updates
- Install and configure various commercial products on windows operating systems as well as supervise system software processor and prepare upgrade strategies for storage.
- Manage and execute various management activities and manage all backup activities with coordination of various groups and perform troubleshooting on all production problems and provide resolution.
- Collaborate with networking department and install necessary hardware to systems.
- Manage database, monitor problematic tickets, and provide appropriate resolution for same.
- Determine support to patch application and timeframe for same and develop appropriate strategies.
- Develop complex system standards and recommend improvements to enhance performance.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as windows server administrator including windows systems management, deployment, troubleshooting, change management and root cause analysis
- Proficient in management with SCCM/Microsoft EndPoint Manager
- Handy within security: desired configuration management, security hardening
- Patching professional experience
- Detailed knowledge of Windows server setup, deployment, and maintenance
- Experience with databases, patch management, and networks including LAN and WAN
- Familiarity with modern operating systems and server platforms
- Knowledge of network security systems, intrusion detection systems, and data backup.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with good analytical and communication skills.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written)
