Duration: 6-months
Location: Anywhere within UK

Responsibilities: (including any direct reports)

  • Work closely with TA Business Partners and TA Managers to understand current and predicted demand.
  • Develop sourcing strategies and delivery plans to fill open vacancies and create talent pipelines for future needs
  • Work closely with Brand and Attraction counterparts to understand the EVP in order to ensure clear messaging and to be an ambassador for KPMG in the market
  • Add value to the business by building and sharing a thorough knowledge of the external market, trends and innovation, and competitor activity in their functional area
  • Provide advice and guidance to hiring managers at each stage of the recruitment process to ensure positive hiring manager experience, robust and compliant assessment, and alignment with KPMG policies and employment legislation
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience at each stage of a candidate's journey
  • Provide advice and guidance to RPO teams as required, including supporting issue resolution

End to end recruitment delivery:

Candidate sourcing:

  • Take business briefing in order to fully understand the role required
  • Provide guidance on Job Specs where necessary to ensure that they will attract diverse talent with the skills required
  • Use market knowledge to determine sourcing strategy (eg choice of agencies, job boards, events, networks use of direct sourcing, etc)
  • Post roles internally and externally as appropriate and carry out supplier briefings as required
  • Directly source candidates through the use of networks, LinkedIn, events, and other available tools and use direct sourcing to create talent pools
  • Maintain regular communication/engagement activities with talent pools to maximize the opportunity of conversion at the appropriate time
  • Determine when it is appropriate to source overseas candidates and carry out all required activities to support visa applications including posting, business liaison to approve SOC codes, provide advice candidates on visa issues, etc.
  • Maintain stakeholder relationships with core agency suppliers

Candidate assessment:

  • Produce a diverse shortlist of qualified candidates to the business
  • Engage with candidates to encourage them to pursue an application with KPMG
  • Review C.Vs and screen against job description Conduct screening interviews including the testing motivation of candidates
  • Provide timely feedback to candidates throughout the process
  • Liaise with business and provide timely and accurate details to the Interview arranging team to ensure that interviews and panels are set up as quickly as possible
  • Review interview feedback to ensure it is in line with KPMG expectations
  • Provide interview feedback to candidates (both successful and unsuccessful)

Offer management:

  • Liaise with the hiring manager to propose appropriate offer details based upon knowledge of firm policies, external market, and candidate expectations
  • Once relevant approvals obtained, prepare a Total Reward Statement and make a verbal offer to the candidate including sharing details of the benefits package and reasons to join and any relevant policies (eg personal independence rules)

Data and document compliance:

  • Accountable for timely updating of the system to ensure that reporting accurately reflects the current position and all required documentation is in place and stored compliantly

Key skills and experience background:

Previous in-house recruitment experience, preferably gained within professional services

Strong networker with excellent market knowledge and understanding of the complexities of recruiting for specialist markets with experience of working within a Matrix environment

Able to support a diverse group of senior stakeholders often with conflicting requirements

An effective and persuasive communicator who seeks insight into the business and acts as an expert advisor

Understands and champions the importance of data integrity, timely and accurate reporting and uses this information to run efficient and compliant processes

Experienced in working with recruitment systems and working within agreed HR policies and processes

Demonstrates innovation in approach to problem-solving and delivering service

Collaborative team player, who also seeks continuous self-improvement

Adapts well to an ever-changing landscape, demonstrates resilience, flexibility, and energy.
