Working with our client you will be working in a team that is building a digital collaborative environment that enables cross-government teams and wider communities to deliver complex analytical outcomes. Bringing together analysts, data, infrastructure, information governance and domain expertise.
The main objective is to unlock the vast potential of linked data to enhance decision making for the public good and providing a quality evidence base on which to improve the lives of citizens.
In order to assist this work, we are looking for engineering and leadership skills so we can improve processes in the current and new service, improving effectiveness and responsiveness.
General responsibilities are as follows:
Designing, configuring and delivering automation applications to serve a variety of business process and user needs
Working in a small DevOps team within a business/programme environment.
Enhance existing automation applications to meet evolving business process and user needsBeing a practitioner in the use of automation technologies and tools, evaluating and adopting those appropriate for the use case being considered
Developing systems of record, simple services and supporting APIs as required to support the implementation of automation business applications
Managing automation tools and test environments, central code/configuration, maintaining development standards and configuring software to automate human activities and other systems
Sharing knowledge of tools and techniques; identifying and sharing good practices and collaborating to improve the capability of the team and wider organisation;
Providing coaching and mentoring to business users to help configure and develop their own automation applications, including running development sessions and providing shadowing opportunities.
