Infrastructure Architect
Whitehall Resources are currently looking for an Infrastructure Architect on a remote basis for an initial 5-month contract.
This contractor role will provide hands on infrastructure delivery & solutioning for large & business critical end user related projects with a key focus on Citrix & VDI.
Key Outcomes:
- Understand and deliver their strategic goals for a Citrix & Azure Virtual Desktop service
- Analyse and solution functional and non-functional requirements for all service use cases
- Collaborate with the 3rd party vendor to ensure the clients requirements are understood and translated into a service which meets their needs
- Hands on input into the Citrix and Azure build. Including the Windows Engineering & Security.
- Assist in any troubleshooting throughout the project and will solution the service from an operational architectural perspective
Capabilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication and stakeholder management skills
- Architect level knowledge and experience in:
- Designing, installing, configuring, managing, and troubleshooting complex and large Citrix and Azure Virtual Desktop solutions
- Optimizing Citrix performance, scalability, security, high-availability, monitoring, printing, connectivity and group policy
- Leading technically complex Citrix and Virtual Desktop Projects through the Discovery, Design, Build, Test & Operate life cycle
- Experience & Knowledge in Windows Desktop Engineering and Security
- Experience & knowledge in developing Service Orientated Architecture
- Experience using ITIL in an enterprise level organisation
- Detailed knowledge of Enterprise management solutions & technologies such as Virtualisation, Active Directory, O365
- Ability to organise and run requirements gathering exercises
- Strong documentation skills and experience in transitioning Projects into Operational areas with documentation and knowledge transfer
- Great customer relationship management
- A thorough and professional approach to infrastructure design and ability to ask challenging questions about requirements and technologies at all levels
