Description

AWS Cloud Architect is required for a 6-month contract for a major tech consultancy that is working on a digital transformation at a major bank.

This role is remote and Inside IR35

Experience Required:
Designed and edited blueprints for IT infrastructure and networking architecture
Abreast with best practices and market trends pertaining to Cloud and overall industry with inclination to improve enterprise and business platforms.
Monitored existing infrastructure and architectural frameworks for performance
Proven experience assessing clients workloads and technology landscape for Cloud suitability, develop business case and Cloud adoption roadmap
Experience in defining new architectures and ability to drive projects from an architecture standpoint
In-depth knowledge of key AWS services like EC2, S3 etc with proven knowledge of AWS platform and tools
Experience provisioning of AWS infrastructure with AWS Storage, Compute, Cluster, ECS etc.
Experience to build scalable production systems (load balancers, memcached, master/slave architectures)
Strong ability to integrate domains and capabilities (data, network, etc.)
Strong experience in cloud-based delivery
Solid understanding of key operating systems (Linux, Windows)
Good overall knowledge on cloud native and third party cloud related security solutions

Roles and Responsibilities:
Understand existing Cloud and technology landscape and application workloads
Understand and document Cloud requirements for the project
Develop and refine cloud architecture blueprints and design documentation
Create resource inventory required for Cloud Services (such as EC2, S3 etc.) and tools;
Design the overall Virtual Private Cloud VPC environment including server instance, storage instances, subnets, availability zones, etc
Design the AWS network architecture including VPN connectivity between regions and subnets
Design the HA/DR strategies and creation of capacity plan and load models
Ability to execute advanced engineering process, services and tools around AWS Cloud
Oversee build of the environment leveraging appropriate AWS services
Sizing and capacity planning of the resources, and performance testing in the high volume scenarios ie 3 M Users
Validate the environment to meets all security and compliance controls
Ensure the operational readiness of the Cloud infrastructure created for the project
Provide expertise and support for the IT readiness and Security Testing of the project
