Senior Test Automation Engineer - Azure Devops - Inside IR35
Our client have an exciting contract opportunity available for a highly-motivated Senior Test Automation Engineer to join them. This is a technical and analytical hands-on role where you will be working across a delivery function made up of multiple workstreams, delivering on our organisation's biggest strategic programme to date.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Taking ownership of the overall automation testing approach and execution
- Implementing automation tests and reviewing/standardising test frameworks in existing areas to bolster coverage, in collaboration with engineers and testers
- Integrating work into existing CI/CD pipelines, and create new pipelines as needed
The work can be done remotely from within the UK but there may be some occasional travel to their HQ in Southampton.
Experience:
- Experience working in test automation and with associated tools
- Proven analytical skills designing and implementing automated tests
- Solid experience in building and maintaining E2E automation frameworks in CI/CD environments, and understanding their limitations
- Experience setting up efficient use of test data for automation purposes
- Solid experience in working in E2E and SIT cycles
- Experience of all parts of the test design and test execution phase
- Experienced in defect triage/management
- Working in an Agile team

Technologies:
- Experience of working with Azure DevOps is essential
- Experience of automation testing on cloud platforms is essential, preferably Azure
- Experience of using data technologies
- Experience of using test tools such as Postman, SoapUI, Selenium
- Awareness of geospatial systems and technologies is desirable
