Systems Engineer - Linux - Middleware Engineer - Contract - .NET - IIS - Application Support

The Systems Engineer is responsible for the engineering and support aspects of application Middleware components. The Systems Engineer oversees the technical design, development and maintenance of application infrastructure components as well as maintaining engineering design standards and a stable application infrastructure environment.

What you need to have:

  • Proven experience in a Linux and/or Windows, IIS and .NET based Middleware environment, preferably with a scope of responsibility that spans multiple world geographies.
  • Experience supporting a multi-tiered web environment.
  • Experience in cloud computing and containerization.
  • Excellent experience in some of Linux fundamentals, Ruby on Rails, Apache, nginx Web Server, Javascript and/or Window Server administration ).
  • Strong knowledge of cloud computing technologies and environments as well as containerization (docker).
  • A good awareness of Microsoft .NET technology.
  • Good knowledge on patching procedures for Linux, Windows OS, .NET, etc.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Experience in at least one end-user ticket management system.
  • Experience/good knowledge of an industry standard change management process.
  • A good knowledge and understanding of network devices such as F5 Load Balancer, Firewalls, and DNS
  • Enjoys working in fast pace ever changing work environment.

What makes you stand out:

  • Experience handling large MS .NET and IIS based windows and web applications is highly desirable.
  • Exposure to Microsoft SQL server and Oracle RAC is preferred.
