Solution Architect - Inside IR35

Currently recruiting for a Solution Architect to work across a Utilities estate to provide the following expertise:
  • Support key business unit, company and customer challenges
  • Integrate the Domain strategy across all key digital domains (Technology, Data, People, Process) and aligning that to Domain customer needs
  • Develop the digital architectural standards against which digital asset roadmaps, investment, project design and customer solutions should be developed within their Domain.
  • Provide Architectural Leadership, Technical Authority and Governance of architects (internal and external) working on projects within their Domain.
  • To build and foster the relationship between Strategy and Planning and key business stakeholders such that key stakeholders achieve consistency in service and delivery against commitments made.
  • To be the key architectural contact for their Domain and to communicate clearly, concisely and in a non-technical manner to Domain stakeholders, the technical direction and how this aligns with the Domain vision and architecture. To then take this roadmap and work with the Portfolio team to build this into a high level plan, providing input into high level estimates and understanding the inter-dependencies and complexities of any proposed solutions and how these can be mitigated
Candidates need to to be able to demonstrate the following skills & expertise:
  • Proven experience in technology architectural roles and able to lead other technical experts ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, legal standards and architectural best practice
  • Deep understanding of emerging technology trends, disruptive technologies and global digital technology strategies across multiple markets and sectors and be able to apply them within their Domain
  • Strong strategic thinker able to contribute to the development of strategy, visions and desired outcomes to be understood and develop associated roadmap
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to manage relationships across the business and influence key Domain leaders at all levels in line with digital strategy
  • Sound commercial experience, ideally through the design, procurement and delivery of successful contracts with third party service providers or operating agreements with internal suppliers
  • A natural innovator and creative style able to envision the future and create a framework for the organisation to align behind
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • 'Can do attitude - highly energetic and focused on right time, first time delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of different Enterprise Architecture models
