I am looking for a remote freelance Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - AWS for a 12 month contractrate: €50-55 per hour
start ASAP
As our new Cloud Infrastructure Engineer you will be responsible for:
Troubleshooting
Analyze dashboards, and take action
Monitor performance and scaling
Automation and scripting
24/7 on call (on a rotating schedule), being responsible for acting on and coordinating incidents
Setting up infrastructure as code together with the development teams
Driving and contributing to architectural discussions and decisions
Configuration and deployment

As our new Cloud Infrastructure Engineer you will be working in a collaborative environment where everyone can learn from each other since everyone has a special expertise area, and being on call you can always count on support from your colleagues. That said, you enjoy working in a cooperative and cross-functional environment and are generous in providing support and sharing knowledge with your colleagues.
You have a general understanding of infrastructure and especially AWS, and you understand and can communicate to engineers and developers. Your responsibility and complexity of assignments will depend on your past experience and future ambitions.
To succeed in this role you need a developer mindset and enjoy working with operations and making sure everything is running as it should. You will not work with full scale coding, however you find it exciting to automate in order to be proactive, since you already know that stability and accessibility has never been as important.
In order to contribute in this role we believe you have:
At least 3+ years of AWS experience and/or certification
Experience working with Linux servers (CentOS)
Skills in server administration and networking
Containers (Docker) and orchestration
Automation/coding, version control and continuous deployment practices
Infrastructure as code (e. g. Terraform and Saltstack)
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have:
Deep knowledge of system monitoring using Datadog, Prometheus or equivalent tools
Experience from ELK or similar log management solutions
Prior experience in SIP, WebRTC, Kamailio or Asterisk
