Description

Role: Senior Product Owner - Infrastructure
Rate: £500 per day, outside IR35
Based at home (remote working) and occasional travel to Bristol for onsite meetings when required
Sector: Higher Education
Length of contract: 6 months
Start date: ASAP

Our client's IT project team are undertaking several large infrastructure programmes supporting the digital strategy, these programmes are overseen by a team senior product owner who provide leadership to the programmes in relation to architecting and implementing extensive scale infrastructure across all infrastructure domains; networks, Servers, storage, data centres, clients and services.

Responsibilities:

*The post holder's main responsibilities are focussed on leading the Infrastructure Portfolio, Change delivery teams alongside the Scrum Master's. Working across multi domains with the infrastructure portfolio from migration to cyber security.

*The mission of the SPO is technical portfolio leadership and alignment within and across one or more complex projects.

*They will be a member of the senior portfolio team, which has responsibility for assuring the strategic direction of delivery. The role holder will join a team of architects providing domain expertise across the University portfolio.

*Role holder will provide support to the Senior Portfolio Manager in relation to: reporting, resource assignment and project deliverable value management.

Skills/experience:

*Extensive experience of architecting and implementing extensive scale infrastructures
*Experience across all infrastructure domains; networks, Servers, storage, data centres, clients and services
*Extensive experience of architecting and implementing service management architectures
*Ability to define and implement strategic architecture across multiple projects, programmes and portfolios
*Ability to engage, communicate, understand and influence stakeholders at all levels across ITS and the wider business
*Ability to articulate and author complex documentation for a wide range of technical and non-technical audiences
