Managed File Transfer Engineer - Network File System NFS
Our client, a global supplier for IT services, requires an experienced File Transfer Infrastructure Analyst (Managed File Transfer Engineer) to join their team in their clients' offices in London or Edinburgh. You can work remotely until Covid abates.
This is a 3 - 6 month temporary contract, to start on 4th October 2021 tbc.
The right candidate should have experience in setting up NFS 3 and NFS 4 file transfer mechanism.
Key Requirements:
- Experience in setting up NFS 3 and NFS 4 file transfer mechanism
- Support the strategic File Transfer application stack, along with some Legacy applications
- Good knowledge of transfer protocols is essential and a clear and methodical mind-set is required for a busy and complex environment
- Build new project flows and make controlled changes to the large MFT estate
- Manage and support the protocols including Connect Direct, Connect Direct Secure plus, SFTP, FTP, FTPS, MQ, MQFTE, S3, HTTP, HTTPS, Globalscape EFT Server and other propriety File Transfer software as required
- Work with internal customers to establish/validate configuration requirements
- Understand that the colleagues in the business are customers and adopt a Service Excellence ethos, conduct reviews and understand supplied technical documentation and specifications as required
- Create and maintain documentation for configuration builds including Visio diagrams
- Participate in Peer Review process of other Engineers work and give constructive feedback
