Description
Desktop Support Engineer required for a 3 month contract (possibility of extending) based in Hampshire.
Working inside of IR35 for a well-established NHS organisation, you will provide hands on IT technical support on-site and remotely, resolving faults and providing advice and training for staff using laptops, PCs, smartphones, tablets and printers.
This will involve communicating technical issues to a non-technical person and owning the problem through to satisfactory resolution for the user.
Key responsibilities:
- Escalating unsolved problems to senior Technician/Team Leader.
- Keep users informed regarding status of outstanding problems
- Methods for communication will be by telephone, email, written and in person.
- Assist other IT teams in projects at an appropriate level for post, eg
o Data gathering, eg hardware and software configuration details
o Configuring and testing software and hardware
o Installation of new and replacement equipment
For this position you need previous experience of 2nd line/Desktop Support with technical skills of the following:
- Microsoft Operating Systems
- Microsoft Office Products
- WAN/LAN/TCP/IP
- Remote/mobile access
This position is to start ASAP and will pay between £15 - £20 per hour (umbrella) Inside of IR35
