Technical Architect/Lead (Cloud Infrastructure GCP, AWS)
Must hold Valid Security Clearance
6 months
Inside IR35
Remote Working

Our client is looking for a Technical Architect or a Technical Lead to work on the cloud infrastructure for a variety of projects solving complex business problems.

Some of our current and upcoming projects are:

*Data Exchange Service - A GCP project that allows the secure ingress and egress of encrypted data
*Hotspot - A GCP environment for the management and analysis of data
*Integrated Data Service - A cross-government statistical data management and analysis platform and service wrap
*Levelling Up - A GCP environment to allow ONS and trusted external bodies to analyse data
*Polestar - A GCP environment for the storage and analysis of Covid Infection Survey data
*SDC - Creating an Azure AD/GCP Single Sign-On proof of concept for ONS's Survey Data Collection platform
*Traffic Cams - A GCP environment for the storage and analysis of images from publicly accessible traffic cameras
*SPP - An AWS environment that provides a statistical processing pipeline
*Cloud Ingest - Our AWS based data routing system
We'd love to meet someone who:
*Has current SC
*Is a great problem solver who takes pride in their work
*Has experience with stakeholder management
*Has a proven record of delivering scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure following the latest best practice
*Can write maintainable infrastructure as code using Terraform
*Has experience with containerisation (Docker) and Kubernetes
*Has experience of serverless/FaaS eg Google Cloud Functions or AWS Lambda
*Has experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Concourse and Google Cloud Build
*Understands information security and knows how to engineer security controls as a core feature
*Is able to bring people together to form a motivated team

Role Responsibilities

*Designing software products to serve a variety of user needs and enhancing existing software products to meet evolving user needs.
*Ensuring a quality software product is delivered and maintained.
*guide the ways in which the team works
*are proficient in a wide range of technical systems and involved in identifying appropriate technology and approaches, deciding when software should be written
*contribute to the community, providing technical leadership, coaching and mentoring the team, promoting knowledge sharing and adoption of good practice
*communicates with stakeholders on behalf of technical teams
