Concept Resourcing are looking for a Senior Developer to join a Central Government client based in London/Bristol OR Manchester.
This is an initial 6 month contract with a possible extension. The role is INSIDE IR35. Day rates between £ per day, depending on experience.
The ideal candidate must have the following experience;
- Previous experience working in the public sector/government.
- Previous experience in Back End development with detailed knowledge of either Node.js and/or Ruby
- Understand software design principles.
- Build RESTful web services,
- Implement toolkits and APIs for purposes such as integration, performance optimisation, security and scalability
- Build automated tests to support our continuous deployment environment
- Have experience of using automated testing and test driven development to validate solutions
- Understand agile environments and version control
- Have a good understanding of web and software security
- Awareness or experience of web accessibility
- Experience working on, or with web technologies
- Have an awareness of technologies used for web applications, eg databases, backups, CDNs and search, and of Unix-like operating systems, eg Linux and/or Mac OS
- Familiar with working practices such as TDD, continuous integration, continuous delivery and DevOps.
