Network Automation Support Engineer - 6 months - £525.00 per day
Our client has an urgent need for a Network Automation Support Engineer to join them on an initial 6-month contract basis on a remote basis (which may be reviewed, but will still remain very flexible (London area).
The Network Automation Support Engineer will be required to provide Software Design, Development and Coding as well as Testing and Support experience to assist the client through a very busy growth period within the business.
Skills/Experience Required:-
- Strong Network and Automation experience, especially with programmable networks.
- Hands-on experience in data center device communication and automation across vendor platforms (CISCO, Juniper, Nokia primarily)
- Demonstrated experience in building tools for data center network automation using Python 3, libraries like Netmiko, Paramiko, NAPALM, and protocols like NETCONF, RESTCONF
- Experience in Python 3 data structures, OOPS, parsing data formats like XML, JSON, YAML, templating engine like Jinja2 and database CRUD operations.
- Experience in developing microservice with Java/Python and running the services in containers on K8s.
- Production-grade experience operating Linux systems, with the ability to methodically diagnose system, network, and application issues.
- Experience in Agile methodologies using tools like JIRA.
- Data Center technologies. Traditional vs Spine-leaf CLOS architecture.
- Network configuration, provisioning, changes, troubleshooting.
- Layer2/3 devices, connectivity and communication.
- VLAN/VXLAN, MPLS, Cloud technologies, Openstack.
- Virtualization, multitenancy, underlay/overlay networks.
- Knowledge of various common Network Protocols.
