Infrastructure Design Authority - SC Cleared

Location: Remote

Duration: Initially 3 months

IR35 Determination: Inside IR35

Rate: £550 - £575 a day

Infrastructure Design Authority: You will join a leading consultancy and work with their end client to build on the design of an on premise Software Defined Data Centre based on the VMWare VCF and Microsoft Azure Stack technologies. You will focus on designs of the Environments and Services that will be hosted on the SDDC Platform.

Your experience:

  • You must have design experience in infrastructure services to support COTS applications (for example in productivity and collaboration) as well as specialist line of business applications and in-house developed applications. These designs will incorporate and build on underpinning infrastructure including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File, Print and Backup.

  • A key requirement is to demonstrate the ability to design Higher Assurance systems (ie systems to operate at higher levels of HMG Classification) and understand the associated complexity, scale, risks and security impacts in doing so.

Your skills:

  • The ability to design Higher Assurance Systems (operate at high classifications)

  • Skilled in Archimate and the use of Jira & Confluence

  • Interpreting, understanding and managing satisfaction of requirements

  • Understanding Private Cloud technologies such as Azure Stack and VMWare VCF

  • The ability to write and communicate effectively at the architectural level

  • Awareness of security concerns and best practices particularly those that relate to MOD/Central Government
