Description
An urgent role has arisen for Web Developer to assist with a remote based contract for 6 months. The successful candidate will need to possess a strong background in Java/Portlet Development as well as WebSphere portal platform experience.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Very strong background in Java development and Portlet development experience. WebSphere portal platform experience is preferred.
- Experience with JSR 168 and 286 and Portal Architecture
- Web Experience Factory (WEF)
- Develop the portal applications, including portlets, themes, skins, integration with Back End services
- Skilful with development tools such as Maven and GIT/SVN.
- Strong skills in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
- Strong in Java J2EE skills like JSPs/Servlets, struts, JDBC, JNDI.
- strong in Web service design and development
- Good understanding of WebSphere Portal and WAS cluster environment
- Experience with LDAP preferred
- Experience with DB2 or any other databases
- Application Integration knowledge
- Middleware technologies including ESB Development
