Secure Coding Engineer
International Banking Group - 6 Month Contract
Remote Working/Central London

As a preferred and trusted recruitment partner to this international banking group for over eight years, we are assisting in the hire of a contract Secure Coding Engineer to join them on an initial 6-month contract to support the implementation and development of secure coding requirements, processes, and procedures.

You will be part of a team that ensures secure coding can be incorporated into the software delivery platform. You will contribute to the redevelopment of existing build and deployment methods, increasing automation whilst preserving control and auditability.

Key Responsibilities
*Support the Secure Coding requirements of the Build & Deployment Software Delivery Platform
*Augment the existing built & deployment processes to add secure coding checks, verification, dependency analysis, and other controls to promote secure coding methodologies.
*Support the direction of automation of processes by redeveloping existing manual/air-gapped build and deployment processes
*Suggest and implement improvements to processes and automation

Key Skills/Experience Required
*Build, Deployment and Software Configuration management tooling and processes
*Secure Coding Automation and Analysis Tooling (VeraCode, JFrog, Xray, GitHub Security)
*Azure DevOps (and how this can be integrated into existing control processes)
*Understanding of Web Application structure and deployments (IIS/WebDeploy)
*Good ability with Scripting Methods (PowerShell, Shell, Groovy, Python)
*GitHub Enterprise, VisualSVN (Subversion)
*JFrog Artifactory - Config/Mgmt./Integration with Built Tools (including REST methods)
*TeamCity/Jenkins (CI/CD Built)

Beneficial Skills/Experience
*SQL Server/Oracle and associated deploy/release tech (RedGate, RoundHouse, Liduidbase, dbUp)
*MicroFocus Deployment Automation/UrbanCode Deploy
*Jira/Confluence
*ServiceNow

*Inside IR35 (PAYE Umbrella): This contract is Inside IR35, and you will need to contract via an Umbrella company on PAYE. On top of your base day rate, our client will provide a 17.3% PAYE Uplift. The uplift covers Employer's NI (13.8%), Pension (3%) and the Apprenticeship Levy (0.5%) so that these are not deducted from your day rate.

We have worked with this client for over eight years and have assisted over 100 individuals secure both contract and permanent IT opportunities here. Feedback from those individuals has always been positive, and almost all contract positions extend beyond their initial term, so renewals are highly likely.
