Description
Our client are seeking a Unix Server Administrator to join their team based in Telford.
Rate: £450 p/day (Inside IR35)
Experience working in 24x7 complex, highly-secure, highly-available, datacenter environments operating within the realms of strict Change Management processes. Candidates must beclient focused, able to work independentlywhile interacting across different teams to accomplish projects.
Responsibilities
- Experience with supporting Open Systems, Enterprise SAN and NAS solutions
- Experience with UNIX (Linux, AIX, Solaris operating environments
- Experience with storage configuration, volume management and path management software tools (LVM, Native MPIO, EMC PowerPath).
- Experience with Host based storage migrations
- Experience with Boot from SAN based migrations (local/SAN disk migration)
- Experience with disaster recovery as it relates to storage systems and data recovery techniques, including disk replication, snapshots and disaster recovery best practices
- Intermediate analysis and troubleshooting skills for the end-to-end storage and backup stack (VMs, hosts, SAN Switches, Storage devices)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong inter-personal skills
- Assist in change management processes
- Vendor contact for routine, documented incidents as well as operational problems
- Resolve incidents and problems in accordance within defined guidelines and meet operational level agreements
- Implement change requests and meet project deliverables within defined guidelines

- LDAP and NFS.
- Experience with Oracle RAC environment
- EMC Software Administration
