Integration Architect - Azure API Management, Azure Integration Service, Event Grid, Event Hubs, Service Bus, Logic Apps - Remote but with some travel to South Yorkshire - Inside IR35, £600 - £650 per day - 3 months + extension
My client a well known organisation seeks an Integration Architect to work closely with the Lead Integration Architect to deliver the implementation of the agreed integration strategy in which Azure API Management has been selected.
Responsibilities:
- The establishment of Microsoft Azure API Management to meet current and future needs, with a full standards, governance and support wrapper.
- An assessment of existing APIs, determining a) fit with standards defined; b) benefit analysis of migrating or refactoring APIs into Azure API-M. Additionally, an assessment of existing key applications and their suitability for developing API layers that can be managed through API-M.
- Recommendations for Azure Event Hubs, Event Grids and Service Bus.
- Assessment of Azure Logic Apps for use, with regards to a) migrating BizTalk orchestrations and transformations to Logic Apps and b) assessing use for new scenarios.
Key Skills
Essential:
- Extensive experience of architecting and implementing Azure API Management.
- Experience of implementing Azure API Management self-hosted gateway, or experience of establishing Azure services on-premise through the use of containers.
- Experience implementing other Azure Integration Services technologies: Event Grid, Event Hubs, Service Bus and Logic Apps.
- Experience implementing API-based architectures.
- Experience of implementing Azure API Management for both internal and external use.
- Experience of implementing Azure API Management for on-premise integration scenarios.
- Experience of developing standards, patterns and governance processes for Azure API Management.
Desirable:
- Experience implementing other Azure technologies, particularly serverless technologies.
- Experience of operating/managing Azure services.
- Experience of managing Azure cost models and spend.
- Extensive experience designing and delivering business applications with the ability to understand the context within an enterprise solution, covering a broad range of technologies.
- BCS, TOGAF or equivalent certification in Enterprise and Solutions Architecture.
- Application development experience with Microsoft technologies.
- Experience of Lean-Agile development methods, ideally Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
