Job Title: Snr Network Design Engineer - Ciena - Infinera - Inside IR35

We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our leading telecommunication clients!
They are currently looking for a skilled Network Design Engineer to join their team for a six-month contract.
Job Responsibilities/Objectives:
- Develop IP & Transmission solutions against agreed design principles and technical standards to produce secure and resilient designs, documentation, implementation methodology, materials and resource requirements for complex solutions that comply with architecture, engineering, security and health & safety standards.
- Leads, develops and creates high level design documentation for core IP & Transmission networks to enable an impact assessment response or a feasibility response for complex customer requirements to be completed within the customer required operational level agreement.
- Produces design documentation to enable successful implementation of complex IP network, including end to end design schematics showing logical and physical network infrastructure and detailed designs.
- Delivers all aspects of the IP & Transmission network design cost effectively meeting technical requirements and conforming to the clients architectures & engineering standards, security requirements, topologies, management systems, processes and technical accommodation standards for room and rack design.
- Ensures compliance with Virgin Media Health and Safety policies following the required processes at all times and by producing designs that identify and incorporate health & safety risk assessments with mitigating actions that ensure safe and compliant delivery of the technical solution.
- Creates physical and logical inventory records for all IP & Transmission networks or infrastructure that meet the required standards and timescales for production.
- Works successfully with colleagues, where appropriate, producing or updating data & transmission core network documentation in accordance with required standards, methods and systems.
