Project Description

Our goal is to produce a highly automated financial cloud service based in Microsoft Azure using the principals of "lights-out" operations to provide PAYG, on-demand financial services.

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Product Owner who understands Azure Cloud provider and can work collaboratively with the team and stakeholders to bring the vision to life ensuring timely deliverables.

The Product Owner will build strong collaborative relationships with management, agile coach, technical architect, solution architects, technical leads and the release manager. They must take ownership of the vision, roadmap and backlog and ensure the backlog is well refined and prepared for the relevant planning events. We are looking for someone who has a passion for agile ways of working and someone who takes feedback positively to bring about change.

To be a successful Product Owner, you should demonstrate strong leadership and team-working skills. You should also demonstrate excellent communication and computer skills.

Product Owner Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the vision and roadmap for delivery of the SEF portal.

  • Build and prioritise the product backlog in line with the roadmap.

  • Define release dates and content and support the team to adapt towards a realise little and often strategy.

  • Work closely with project managers, architects, agile coach, technical leads and release manager to identify and refine requirements.

  • Maintaining positive relationships with the wider team and customer.

  • Work with the release manager to triage the defects and ensure timely resolutions.

  • Effective facilitation of backlog refinement to ensure requirements are ready for planning and meet the definition of ready.

  • Be comfortable to present the requirements to the teams for release and sprint planning and actively participate in other agile events.

  • Assisting with project documentation.

  • Assessing customer feedback and using your creativity to establish, improve, and refine services.

  • Remaining organised and meeting deadlines.

  • Building partnerships and liaising with team leaders to determine the services, delivery criteria, and solutions for issues that may arise.

Product Owner Requirements

  • Experienced with agile ways of working to support a culture of disciplined and accountable software delivery.

  • Knowledge of Cloud with a preference to Azure.

  • Strong collaboration skills to build effective relationship.

  • Experience in customer service and leadership may be advantageous.

  • Strong teamwork skills and attention to detail.
