DevSecOps Engineer

Location: Dublin, Ireland/REMOTE Working

DevSecOps - Responsible for planning and implementing the ongoing roadmap for DevSecOps within our ESB IT Delivery Digital Factory function
Liaise closely with the Product Owner for DevSecOps to capture requirements and understand priority, pace, cost and value management
Provide expertise and guidance to stakeholders - particularly the DevSecOps Product Owner and wider Strategy & Steering Group to help develop a multi-year roadmap and investment case for DevSecOps in ESB.
Plan and execute tasks via iterative phases in an Agile way
Develop suitable DevSecOps KPIs, metrics and measure
Provide status updates and monitor progress of the platform development work against time and budget
Coordinate work and manage stakeholders across different IT teams to involved in platform development work
Managing the DevSecOps platform team on a day to day basis
Provide guidance and support to the DevSecOps coach and Product Build teams
Experience of DevSecOps for SAP
Automation Strategies and methods

Required Competencies

Significant experience with Certification on Azure DevOps platform and associated Azure capability

Significant experience of DevSecOps processes and tools

Experience with the Azure DevOps self-hosted agents

Experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions

Significant experience of DevSecOps tools at all stages of the pipeline - CI/CD toolchains, SCA, SAST, DAST, IAST,RASP, especially Open Source tool integration with Azure.

Preferable knowledge and experience with tools OWASP ZAP and DependencyChecker, SonarQube, LightHouse, AXE

Significant experience of pipeline automation, automation practices and tools in Azure DevOps at least 2years

Experience with MS PowerShell Scripting

Practical experience with YAML and Regular expressions

Windows Servers infrastructure experience in the enterprise environment at least 3 years.

Experience in Software Development and Agile Methodologies.

Experience with a wide range of Enterprise IT environments, platforms and applications

Experience of DevSecOps for the Utilities Industry and DevSecOps for Digital Transformation

Keeps up with latest innovations and shares that knowledge with others

Experience in ITSM incident and change management processes- preferably ITIL certified

Excellent Organisational skills

Excellent stakeholder management skills at all levels

Excellent communications skills - Reporting, documentation/writing, and presentation

Self-directed, innovative

Qualification - Relevant 3rd level Degree and equivalent work experience

Required Role Description

Work on a team responsible for support the DevSecOps platform within our ESB IT Delivery Digital Factory function

Responsible for supporting and assisting build teams in Azure DevOps pipelines build and run to ESB standards

Support with remediation the existing Azure pipelines through all stages from Development to Operations

Carry out platform development tasks identified by the DevSecOps Delivery Lead and Platform Owner

Plan and execute tasks via iterative phases in an Agile way

Implement DevSecOps KPIs, metrics and measure as required

Provide status updates and monitor progress of the platform development work against the Implementation plan

Collaborate with the rest of the platform team on developing the platform to best practices in security & test automation and CI/CD

Provide guidance and support to the DevSecOps coach and Factory Leads

Additional knowledge and skills

Knowledge and experience of DevSecOps for SAP

Database deployments, zero downtime deployment (on premise and on Azure platform), A/B testing, Blue/Green Deployment strategies

Knowledge of DevSecOps CI/CD for deployments in Azure and AWS for web apps, key vaults, monitoring, Kubernetes and Docker, Containerisation, Orchestration
