DevOps Consultant - Outside IR35 - Contract
Digital Skills are working with a leading technology consultancy, on site with a global business. The end client are undergoing a major transformation within their technology stack and moving away from some of their Legacy stack/ways of working, moving towards a lean, digital environment.
As part of the transformation, we require an expert in DevOps and Continuous Integration. You will be working closely with Architects, Developers and Testers in order to help build pipelines and working within cloud infrastructures to help with containerisation.
The client has technology that includes everything from SAP to Microsoft, from Mainframe to on premise and cloud hosted environments. As you can imagine it is quite a complicated stack, as such we are not looking for evangelists in one stack or another, but expert DevOp consultants who can turn their hand to any environment.
You will be responsible for:
- Consulting on best practice with internal teams
- Proposibg solutions and working with different tech stacks to recomend options
- Advising on DevOp - CI/CD pipelines
- Advising on containerisation best practice
- Work with Architects to understand systems and interfaces
- Train and Develop teams in DevOp best practice
The team involved are all top consultants and you will be working with stakeholders from around the globe. There are developers in India, Stakeholders and technical teams in the USA as well as the UK. Part of this role is to be able to co-ordinate between these teams and effect change in ways of working.
This role requires an expert in technology as well as an excellent communicator.
The role is outside of IR35, working fully remotely, but from the UK.
You must be able to work individually as well as part of a team and should be a real seasoned champion in Continuous Integration.
