Software/Automation Engineer - £550 to £650 per day - Farnborough, Hampshire
DV level clearance is required for this role.
The Opportunity
- Review and perform due diligence on the existing customer application estate
- Understand current application configuration and integrations on Legacy OS's and rehost existing applications into new VMWare environments
- Plan and automate required data migrations
- Author or contribute to migration planning
- Deploy CI/CD toolchains into VMWare environments
Skills and Experience
(Essential)
- Windows 10 and RHEL
- Virtualisation - VMWare
- Creation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Ansible, Git
- Scripting skills using Powershell primarily but also Python and Bash
(Desirable)
- Knowledge of Geospatial Applications - ArcGIS, OpenSource, COTS
- Knowledge of imagery tooling and applications
- AWS hosting and automation
- Containerisation of applications using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes
