Description
- Develop services on cloud and on-premises environments to provide self-serve provisioning, scaling, and management of SQL and NoSQL database systems.
- Develop and create data models with relational, Key Value, Document Oriented, Graph databases like PostgreSQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, CouchDB, Neo4j etc.
- Performance tuning, query tuning and capacity planning operations of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Spread database best-practices across the organization, while mentoring and inspiring fellow engineers
- Setup and manage SQL/NoSQL databases on Cloud (Azure, GCP etc.), Linux and Docker environments.
- Develop services and automated pipelines for back up and restore operations of SQL/NoSQL databases
- Redhat Linux proficiency
8-12 years of experience in Cloud and Automation, Database Administration, Technical mentoring
Proven background delivering complex, high performance, highly available database and integration solutions at scale.
Solid experience in any of NoSQL & Graph Databases with extensive knowledge on database administration and tuning in on-prem and multi-cloud ecosystems.
Thorough understanding and significant experience of database backup and recovery, performance monitoring and tuning, data manipulation, migration and advanced replication technologies.
Good Knowledge of distributed systems and cloud implementations with a proven track record in Performance, Scalability, and Resiliency
Experience in Cloud Technology for deployment of services in Docker/Kubernetes.
Strong knowledge of Go programming language, paradigms, constructs, idioms, common Go routines and channel patterns.
Experience with at least one of the development tools like Git, Gradle, Maven, Sonar, Jenkins, Artifactory etc.
Experience with TDD, code testability standards,
Strong experience and comfort with automation of cloud and on-premises infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible or similar
Experience with DevOps practices and CICD model of development
Familiar with SDLC/Agile/Scrum processes and tools like JIRA
Good understanding of OOP, design patterns, and industry best practices
Experience with Microsoft Azure App Services will be added advantage
Experience in working in a cloud environment (Azure)
