Responsibilities
Review and perform due diligence on the existing customer application estate
Understand current application configuration and integrations on Legacy OS's and rehost existing
applications into new VMWare environments
Plan and automate required data migrations
Author or contribute to migration planning
Deploy CI/CD toolchains into VMWare environments
Essential
Windows 10 and RHEL
Virtualisation - VMWare
Creation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Ansible, Git
Scripting skills using Powershell primarily but also Python and Bash
Desirable
Knowledge of Geospatial Applications - ArcGIS, OpenSource, COTS
Knowledge of imagery tooling and applications
AWS hosting and automation
Containerisation of applications using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes
