ServiceNow Specialist

Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a ServiceNow Specialist

Key Requirements:

- Responsible for development of ServiceNow across the Enterprise in line with ServiceNow best practices and utilising out of the box functionality where possible to ensure the ongoing maintenance of the platform.
- Challenge customer requirements to identify and prioritise optimal solutions.
- Hands-on technical delivery of cost-effective ServiceNow solutions using a range of technical skills.
- Ensure the company obtains the most benefit from its investment in the ServiceNow product.
- Responsible for the product development and integrations, and ensure they meet requirements.
- Engagement across the full product life cycle including design, development, testing and release & support.
- Support the platform owner in delivering the product roadmap.
- Responsible for HRSD technical authoring and documentation.
- Supporting more junior members of the team to develop their understanding of the product.
- Support and deliver platform upgrades and any required fixes.
- Third line support activity and resolution of any identified production defects.
- Acting as the custodian for quality for any code developed by third party development partners.

Key Experience:

- Working experience with ServiceNow, in a development role in a medium to large scale enterprise organisation.
- Demonstrable experience of the following HRSD capabilities including: HR Case Management, Onboarding, unified request and employee service center
- Familiar in working within an agile delivery framework.
- Experience in supporting delivery of successful technology transformations and adoption of new practices.
- Expert understanding of ServiceNow development and administration with appropriate certifications.
- Expert configuration and customisation of all aspects of ServiceNow - Scripting, Workflow, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, PA etc.
- Development of required integration components - HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript/AJAX, Web services, SOAP, REST API, JSON, inbound email, Mid Server etc.
- University degree and/or other professional qualifications.
- Must have a solid command of the English language both verbal and written.
- Good architecture and design experience. Pro-active personality, strong analytical skills and solid problem solving skills.
- Creative, innovative and a lateral thinker.
- Thrives on the challenges that change brings.

Desirable Skills:

- 3-4 years working with ServiceNow in a development role.
- Experience of other ServiceNow modules including ITSM, IRM/GRC, ITBM etc.
- Knowledge and qualifications in ITIL and Project Management (Agile, PRINCE2, MSP).
- Experience with customer centric industries and mission critical quality infrastructure and software standards.
- Knowledge and use of toolsets & systems (Sharepoint, JIRA, MS Office, SQL, etc.)
- Knowledge and use of monitoring tools (BPPM, ADDM, Splunk, App Dynamics etc).
- Stakeholder management experience.
- Able to communicate and interact to readily and clearly define issues and predict outcomes.
- Ensures users understand the scope of their requests and the consequence of their decisions.
- Ability to perform under pressure.
- Applies speciality across technical disciplines and industries. Solution development both technical and process. Leads following activities: requirements capture, design, functional designs, workshops, configuration/coding, testing/defect Mgt, Deployment, early life support and documentation at all stages.
- Effective Communication, relationship management and emotional Intelligence.
- Promotes a can do attitude and leads by example.
