For one of my Belgium based customers I am urgently looking for a SAP Data Migration Expert.
You will be responsible for the data migration and analytics stream of a global ERP migration initiative. You will be part of the business project team and will work with the Business Process Owners in defining an appropriate data migration approach for the ERP migration and coordinate the steps to execute this migration from acquisition to data loads and validation.
By orchestrating the data migration approach in a structured and methodical manner, you will contribute to a smooth go-live. You will be responsible for building the foundation of a new data and analytics platform. Through iterative steps, you will work with the Business Process Owners and departments to set scope and priorities, define requirements and work closely with the IT team for implementing and testing the solution.
Main responsibilities of this role
o Orchestrate the data migration in support of the business process conversion to the new ERP environment
o Define the data objects (business repository)and the data migration approach
o Ensure data validation
o Participate and coordinate in successive data migration iterations and testing
o Track and steer project progress on agreed deliverables, timelines, and dependencies
o Build the foundation for a new data and analytics platform
o Set the scope and priorities in line with overall ERP migration approach
o Gather and define the business requirements for the analytics capabilities
o Ensure the analytics solution is designed in line with those business requirements
o Collaborate with the business stakeholders and business process owners
o Organize training and testing for the business key users
Required qualifications & Skills
- 4-6 years of professional experience within the area of data management, with demonstrated experience managing data conversions and migrations as part of large-scale ERP implementation/transformation initiatives
- Experience in managing and implementing data and analytics platforms is a plus
- A combined set of strong conceptual design and abstract thinking skills, business acumen, problem-solving mindset, advanced vision, and attention for detail
- Experience working with SAP or other ERP system in a (complex) multi-country, multi-BU environment to problem solving leadership to operational project execution and coordination
- Strong English communication skills - written and oral - proficiency in Dutch, German, and/or French is a plus

Contract Length - 6 months initial contract (likely extensions)

Location - 60% onsite in Brussels, 40% remote from home
