We are IT Recruitment Specialists partnered with a prestigious Global Consultancy who require a Wintel SME for one of their Public sector Clients based in Remote may be some limited travel to London.

We're expanding our engineering capability and are looking for people who understand Microsoft Window technologies and the eco-system of services around it.
  • The role is focused on specific projects and delivering outcomes, which will change regularly. This is not an operations role - you will see a wide range of challenges over time, every project is different. Innovation is at the heart of all we do, which is why you will be utilising a variety of open source and proprietary technologies.

Your role

As a Wintel engineer, you will have a pivotal role in the following types of projects and roles:

  • Private Public & Hybrid Cloud - architecting, designing, building and testing new storage and backup solutions. We work on large and complex projects, with peers from multiple technology domains (network, compute, monitoring, security).
  • Data migration & transformation programmes
  • Storage & Backup platform greenfield, refresh and upgrade projects
  • Working in Capgemini's Cloud and Infrastructure Service as a Wintel Engineer, you will be working in an environment that:
  • Design, supervise and build Microsoft Technologies ie (Active Directory, DNS, GPOs, File & Print.. etc)
  • Greenfield Private Public & Hybrid Cloud - architecting, designing, building and testing new Microsoft Technology solutions.
  • Large transformation projects
  • Bid work providing solutions and costs
  • Service Design: High-level architecture design for core Microsoft Technology solutions
  • Plan and prepare design review presentation with Architects and Service
  • Managers to validate or decide on major architecture evolutions
  • Partner closely with all the major clients and 3rd parties
  • Foster a collaborative working environment with clients, vendors, partners and other business units to develop and execute innovative and competitive Microsoft Technology projects for new and existing clients
  • Operate at any point in a project life cycle, from proposal creation through to the delivery of transformation projects
  • Provide practical working knowledge with an understanding of the latest Microsoft Technology technologies:

The role is responsible for: -

  • Private, Public & Hybrid Microsoft Cloud solutions- architecting, designing, building and testing new and existing Infrastructures (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) capabilities
  • Consulting, strategy, architecture, high-level design and technical leadership.
  • Producing high-level and low-level designs, build, configuration, and testing.
  • Providing guidance and support for transitions .
