Description

Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) Systems Analyst/ELN Configuration Consultant - IDBS ELN, (aka IDBS E-Workbook ELN) System Configuration, Laboratory Research Practices, Workflow, Stakeholder Engagement, Inventory Module, Experiment Templates, Advanced Spreadsheets. Contract, 6 months (with potential extension), Remote/
Hybrid with some early work to undertaken onsite in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. Outside IR35, £400 - £650 p/day (Fully negotiable dependent upon ELN & LIMS system exposure and experience)

ELN Systems Analyst/ELN Configuration Consultant required by a multi-national BioTech Life Sciences Company focusing on chronic disease alleviation which continues to grow rapidly through its development phase.

Having recently implemented the IDBS E-Workbook Electronic Lab Notebook platform (a flexible modular ELN system that manages all aspects of Lab research from data capture, document collaboration, review and signoff of workflows and oversight of compliance) the team now requires an ELN Systems Analyst/ELN Configuration Consultant/E-Workbook Consultant to play a key role in the configuration of the system's modules, creation of a number of Experiment Templates (based on Stakeholder definitions and requirements) configuration of the Inventory Module and setup of the Advanced Spreadsheets. Once established, you will need to devise and implement a maintenance schedule which meets with the needs of the business and then, in time, hand this over to the team. You will use your expertise in ELN systems and Laboratory R&D processes to advise the business as to how best meet their need and then undertake this work under your own initiative.

You will approach this with experience and knowledge gained with a background in either IT (ELN/LIMS systems management and administration) or a Lab Research/R&D background that has had significant involvement with ELN and LIMS systems. Experience with IDBS E-Workbook/IDBS ELN is not necessarily required (although exposure would be beneficial) but we do require a consultant with a strong understanding of both ELN systems and processes, Laboratory R&D and be familiar with experiment template type systems and inventory management modules. You will bring both configuration and administration capability to the team so as to advise upon maintenance schedules and device appropriate processes post-config.

You may have been working as an ELN Consultant, LIMS Consultant, ELN Administrator, ELN or LIMS Configuration Consultant, Lab Informatics Manager or R&D Manager where you will have worked in a similar capacity configuring an ELN or LIMS systems such as: Benchling, SciNote, Labguru, LabWare LIMS, OpenLab or similar systems and be able to combine knowledge of both systems and processes to interpret the best solution for the business. Ideally you will have experience with, or some awareness of, the IDBS E-Workbook ELN platform and its modules but we welcome all applications.

This is a fully Outside IR35 compliant contract. You will be required to work under your own initiative, assessing the objectives, eliciting requirements and delivering a solution which is fit for purpose. It is anticipated that the initial work will be completed within 6 months but this assessment will form part of the early consultation and may be adjusted depending on input from the successful consultant who will advise on such matters and schedule work accordingly.

Excellent opportunity to play a key role in the development of this new system to be deployed across the global enterprise. Initially some work will need to be undertaken from the offices in Stevenage, Hertfordshire and could possibly require temporary accommodation to be taken for an overnight stay. As the project moves forward it is likely to become an almost entirely remote working contract.
