Description
This position is for a professional individual contributor in Information Technology, who has a keen understanding of asset & configuration management processes. A good knowledge of Service Now ITSM Tool & Discovery is essential.
This individual will be assisting the team in the transition to a new ITSM tool and providing ongoing support to maintain the current Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and Run the business activities.
Duties include;
- Partnering with IT operational teams throughout the life cycle of a configuration item; ensures CIs are created at commissioning, inactivated upon decommission, day to day change activities are reflected in the configuration database and relationships are established between the components.
- Performing compliance checks to ensure IT team's compliance with defined processes procedures.
- Facilitates meetings, communicates status and follow up on outstanding CI issues to ensure timely resolution within established SLAs.
- Assisting with the new ITSM tool deployment
- Work with business development teams to understand technology service/application information to document support, ownership and relationship information in the CMDB.
