UNIX Technical Specialist - Edinburgh - 3 Month Contract
Our Public Sector client are currently recruiting for a UNIX Technical Specialist to join on a 3 month initial contract.
The successful candidate will have the following skills/knowledge:
- Proven experience with Linux/Unix server administration
- Knowledge of ITIL
- Self motivated who can function effectively in a busy office environment to tight deadlines and is able to manage a number of simultaneous tasks.
- Ability to reassign priorities to meet deadlines in a changing environment
Desirable skills:
- Storage administration
- Azure IaaS
- Apache
- Perl
- Ldap
- Tomcat
- Docker/OpenShift/Kubernetes
- Rhel satellite/foreman
- Server security
- Scripting (bash, Perl, python)
- Strong communication skills
- Flexile approach to working
