- Proficient with designing AWS Cloud solutions.
- IT Architecture - Familiar with integration and implementation issues and their architectural implications.
- Excellent understanding of best practice architectural and design methods with proven innovative and leading edge thinking (eg Domain Driven Architecture, building for resilience, scalability, performance, etc.)
- Technical Knowledge - a very good broad understanding of a wide variety of technologies pertinent to the client, including endpoint security, Network security and emerging technologies.
- Appreciation of different Infrastructure patterns
- IT Security patterns, considerations, best practice
- Design solution in line with architecture while working closely with stakeholders from technology, infrastructure, testing, architects and Project Management teams.
- Take responsibility in ensuring that design adheres to architectural and quality standards and policies set by the organisation.
- Provide consultancy as and when required to the stakeholders on technical matters.
- Producing high-level design, logical designs in relevant subject area (technical, data, operational etc.) showing for example: processes, objects, data flows, inputs, stored data and outputs. Identifying common components.
- Documenting all work using required standards, methods and tools, including prototyping tools where appropriate. Providing guidance to development team members as required.
- Identifying, owning and resolving design related issues as they arise during the project life cycle.
- Identify and incorporate security to all designs, confirming to the clients security policies and industry best practice
- Prepare system design to meet project requirements while adhering to architectural guidelines, quality standards and policies.
- Rationalise between different design options and define pros and cons based on functional, non-functional and operational viewpoint.
- Identify and raise technical or infrastructural or operational risks with appropriate stakeholders.
