Description
Our client is a large local government organisation and looking for an experienced Field/Servicedesk Engineer to join their team. This is initially a 6 month contract which may be extended for the right applicant. Our client is looking for someone who can come on board and assist with a large project on behalf of the client.
The successful applicant will
Perform complex installations and configurations of desktops, laptops, software & related hardware
Ability to work under pressure to meet SLA's, particularly around First Time Fix and Call Answer times
In this role you will be continually making decisions about technical escalations, reacting to emerging technical situations and dealing with IT issues.
To be considered for this role you will
Perform complex installations and configurations of desktops, laptops, software & related hardware
Experience providing deskside support
Degree in relevant IT subject or equivalent experience
Experience working within an ITIL framework.
Proven software and hardware troubleshooting skills
You should have good written & verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information and ideas in an understandable manner
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and MS Office applications
Good problem solving and decision-making skills
Able to analyse data from various sources in order to make an informed
