We are IT Recruitment Specialists partnered with a prestigious Global Consultancy who require a Network Engineer for one of their Public sector Clients based in West Midlands or Dorset.
- Candidates must hold active SC clearance
- IR35 - This role is inside of IR35
- Location: West Midlands OR Dorset - May have to travel to other sites. (Onsite Full time - 5 days)
- Security Clearance: SC - Candidate needs to eligible to go through DV process. (SOLE UK NATIONAL)
Job Description:
- Either Cisco Certified DevNet Professional certification or CCNP Enterprise certification (essential)
- At least 3 years of experience supporting complex campus area networks (CAN) and wide area networks (WAN) based on IP cryptography (essential)
- SC clearance and the willingness to obtain DV clearance (essential)
- Experience with the configuration of SDN controllers and SD-WAN controllers (essential)
- The experience of using Ansible to automate query or configuration of network devices in a production environment
- Experience with Linux OS and its command line interface, network logging and analysis tools - R Syslog and the interpretation and parsing of logs in particular
- Familiar with Splunk as a network support enhancer - possess the ability to search and navigate as well as create reports, alerts and dashboards

- Cisco Certified DevNet Associate DEVASC)
- Cisco Certified Specialist - Enterprise Automation and Programmability ENAUTO)
- Cisco Certified DevNet Specialist - Security Automation and Programmability SAUTO)
- Cisco Certified DevNet Specialist - Collaboration Automation and Programmability CLAUTO)
- Cisco Programming for Network Engineers (PRNE) qualification
- Python Certified Entry-Level Programmer (PCEP)
- Splunk Enterprise System Administrator
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) - Windows Server 2016 or,
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
