Description
Senior Cloud Engineer - Identity - SAML/LDAP/OAuth2
Working for a leading digital insurance company on an initial 6 month contract (outside IR35 - hybrid working max 1-2 days in London office), you will be part of a team responsible for building, running and owning essential platform services, Compute, Infrastructure, Observability, Storage & Messaging, Security and Developer Experience.
As a Senior Cloud Engineer (Infrastructure), you will be part of a team implementing the companies own Active Directory and Identity Provider services; your team will reconfigure, document and drive the authentication switchover phase for existing AWS VPC's, VPN, database, compute, operational and observability platforms.
You'll make a real impact by taking an active role in the team's agile practices, work with existing Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management toolset, and leverage your deep & broad knowledge of Cloud & DevOps services.
Experience Required:
*Build, Run, and Own first-class solutions in an agile product team
*Influence the design, approach and implementation of our migration and phaseover
*Work across product teams providing technical direction on the integration of their products & services into our migrated platforms
*Drive efficiencies & value from the infrastructure, exploiting existing & emerging technology to deliver value for our customers
*Take opportunities to mentor other members of the team
Key Skills
*Demonstrate experience of strategic thinking in design and administration of cloud infrastructure leveraging your deep & broad knowledge of Cloud services, DevOps culture & Agile methodologies
*Deep knowledge of AWS infrastructure and deployment methodologies
*Deep knowledge of IAC (Terraform and associated tooling)
*Good knowledge of integrating with Active Directory, LDAP, oAuth2 and SAML identity providers
*Good knowledge of Linux and Windows system administration
*Able to take ownership of understanding and reconfiguring different business applications without oversight
*Able to write and understand several Scripting/programming languages
