DV cleared Infrastructure Engineer/Wintel Consultant/Application Integrator - 6 months + - Reading - £ per day inside IR35
Solution Analyst/Technical Engineer: Applications Integration. We need Application Integrators to work within an Agile delivery team responsible for migration of COTS and bespoke applications on a Windows platform running on a secure infrastructure. You will be responsible for the design, installation, component test and integration of application components onto a new IaaS platform with specific focus on automation of packaging, installation and provisioning. This entails automation of installation and component testing, supporting E2E testing. You will partake in Programme Increment (PI) planning for each of the 12 week PIs. You will use a range of agile tools to install and test components running on a secure infrastructure, working with customer and systems integrator architecture teams, security teams and project Systems Team.
Essential Skills: Packaging tools experience is essential with involvement in the packaging of Windows desktop and server environments. Windows platform including Powershell Scripting to automate installation. Good communication skills: both written and spoken. Server and Desktop expertise. Experience of working with Third Party software vendors.
Desirable Skills: InstallShield, VM Ware Applications Layering experience and Chocolatey for Business (C4B) packaging experience. Experience working with test automation tools, eg Selenium2, Robot Framework, CI/CD tools.
