Description
A leading air traffic control services provider, is requiring a Network Design Engineer to join them on an initial 6 month contract.
Contract deemed as working inside IR35, paying in the region of £500 per day umbrella, negotiable depending on experience. Client based in Fareham, Hampshire - on site work will be required with a level of remote work also available though but candidate must be within travelling distance to Fareham.
Successful candidate must be eligible for SC Clearance.
NATS are looking for a Network Design Engineer to work on the development of its future platform, due to enter service by 2023. The new operation will be on a world leading, high availability cloud computing platform utilising the latest service orientated management techniques to deliver new software services to air traffic controllers.
- Large safety related/safety critical software applications
- VHF/UHF Voice Over IP based communications
- Networks and Datalinks
Experience required -
Technical
Cisco - CCNP routing and switching (or operating at that level of expertise, don't have a current certification)
Checkpoint Firewalls
Palo Alto Firewalls
Cisco ASA with Firepower
Multicast (useful but not essential)
General
Design and documentation experience
Must be a self-starter, willing to apply themselves and take opportunities to add value.
Preferably will have worked in environments with strict change control and ITIL based processes
