Description
One of Badenoch + Clark's key clients is looking for a number of Desktop/Field Support engineers to join their team for an initial 3 month contract with likely extensions.
This role is to provide high quality desktop support and maintenance services that meets or exceeds standards outlined in Service Level Agreements and provide IT support and advice to all users of PCs, laptops, tablets and peripherals for all customers.
Responsibilities of the role:
* 2nd line support of desktop/client applications
* Support and maintain all PCs, Laptop, MCAs and peripherals.
* In the field or remotely, provide basic triage of application issues, effecting or suggesting alternate routes to resolution for both technical and known application issues.
* Configuration and deployment of computer and peripheral devices.
* Application of standard images as part of the deployment or support of computer equipment.
* Patching of end user networked devices back to edge Switches (port level).
* Accurately diagnose and where possible, rectify application faults with National applications.
The successful applicant will need to have experience in the following:
* Service Desk Tools and Technologies
* Desktop operating systems and applications
* Desktop/office applications
* Data backup and recovery technologies
* Computer and peripheral devices
* Network protocols and technologies
* Server operating systems including Microsoft Server and/or Linux
These roles will fall in scope for IR35 so will require candidates to work via an Umbrella Company or PAYE.
These opportunities are to start ASAP so are ideally suited to candidates who are immediately available or available at short notice.
