Description

A leading Insurance company is looking to hire a contract Finance Systems Analyst to play a key role to maintaining and developing the suite of Finance Systems. You will be responsible for the efficient operation of the company's Finance applications, in particular Tagetik which is used for Solvency II reporting during quarterly and annual reporting cycles.

KEY RESPONSBILITIES:

  • Day-to-day systems support and issue resolution to ensure the Finance Team can complete each reporting cycle in the required timescale; working closely with Finance and IT colleagues
  • Configuration of proper systems access for the business to optimise controls, including at the user group, menu security, and document security level
  • Delivery of system training and communication for required users
  • Operation of core finance control processes on the system
  • Lead/participate in new initiatives to identify appropriate technology solutions and drive their implementation to deliver benefits to the PIC finance users
  • Maintain a list of changes, and support the prioritisation/scheduling with the Head of Finance Systems
  • Undertake user consultation and requirements gathering through to UAT and implementation
  • Ensure that good development and release practices are followed - including the use of appropriate tools to support version control and requirement traceability (eg DevOps)
  • Support the Head of Finance Systems and Financial Controller in ensuring that internal controls within the company are fit for purpose and are enforced, measured, monitored, and improved where applicable
  • Drive continuous improvement and enhancements to the applications, recognising the opportunities to amend business processes
