A leading education company are looking for a Senior React Engineer to contribute to their technical transformation by developing global capability onto their core technical platform - they are looking for someone with passion for technology and a drive to help them move towards their architectural vision.
The client currently runs a large eCommerce platform serving the full-stack, but they would like to start to move towards headless, API-first, cloud-native and micro-service based technologies.
The right person will be a high performing full-stack engineer with experience building complex React-based applications.
What we need from you:
- 5+ years' experience in software development
- Strong experience developing React.js single-page applications
- Node.js, including experience of SSR for SEO and performance purposes
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation
- Experience working with RESTful APIs
- HTML5, CSS3, SASS
- Test driven development
- Ability to debug and resolve cross-browser/platform issues
- Good knowledge and understanding of design principles and patterns
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience of Java, Spring & REST API development (desirable)
- Experience of AWS and microservice architecture (desirable)
- Rate: £550-£600 (Inside IR35)
- Location: fully remote working options
- Start date: ASAP
- Contract duration: 3 months
