Looking for an Infrastructure Design Architect/Infrastructure Architect - someone worked on secret infrastructure environment and holds current SC Clearance or DV Clearance.
Infrastructure Design
A position has become available within a Government department for an Infrastructure Design Architect to work with a Customer team to design infrastructure platform environments and services on behalf of that Customer.
The role will encompass and build on the design of an on premise Software Defined Data Centre based on the VMWare VCF (VMWARE Cloud Foundation) technologies. The individual will focus on designs of the Environments and Services that will be hosted on the SDDC Platform.
You must have design experience in infrastructure services to support COTS applications (for example in productivity and collaboration) as well as specialist line of business applications and in-house developed applications. These designs will incorporate and build on underpinning infrastructure including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File, Print and Backup.
A key requirement is to demonstrate the ability to design Higher Assurance systems (ie systems to operate at higher levels of HMG Classification) and understand the associated complexity, scale, risks and security impacts in doing so.
There is an expectation that you will be skilled at interpreting requirements into solutions, including identifying & assessing options and risks, mitigate technical and non-technical risks, write and communicate effectively at the architecture level and present solutions to stakeholders.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:
* The ability to design Higher Assurance Systems (operate at high classifications)
* Skilled in Archimate and the use of Jira & Confluence
* Interpreting, understanding and managing satisfaction of requirements
* Understanding Private Cloud technologies VMWare VCF
* The ability to write and communicate effectively at the architectural level
* Awareness of security concerns and best practices particularly those that relate to MOD/Central Government
Duration - 3 months rolling
Security - Must have as a minimum of SC Clearance or have DV
