SAP ISU & CRM Application Support Specialist - Worthing, West Sussex, 1 to 2 days per week in the office

6 months rolling contract/£600 per day (Outside IR35)

My client a leading technology strong professional services company seek an experienced SAP ISU & CRM Application Support Specialist to be involved in an exciting IT transformation which will strategically change the way the company delivers IT support and services to its business and end users. To help support this strategic initiative, a new IT Application services unit has been introduced, which has becomes the delivery unit for end users requiring IT support and services along with delivering strategic and tactical projects.

This SAP ISU & CRM Application Support Specialist position is part of Application services team helping deliver the departments overall objectives in the short and long term. The role will be expected to liaise with the Solution Architecture, Service delivery and project delivery counterparts, to ensure that the applications are supported & projects are delivered to the highest standards.

Capability requirement for the SAP ISU & CRM Application Support Specialist position:

  • Strong Experience in SAP ISU & CRM Module.
  • Hands on Knowledge in SAP FI-CA, Billing & Collections, CRM Complaints Management.
  • Hands on experience in development of ABAP objects, BAPI enhancements, Transactions, User Exits etc.
  • Excellent Technical and Integration experience with SAP PO, PI, Java etc
  • Experience in issue analysis and recommend solutions for SAP ISU/CRM related technical changes.
  • Experience in impact analysis of support pack and SAP notes implementation for SAP ISU/CRM modules.
  • Act as single point of contact for SAP ISU/CRM related technical issues to project and support teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP ISU and CRM process with a proven track record of supporting, implementing and improving applications.
  • Knowledge IT Service Management toolsets, including Knowledge Base & Configuration Management.

Scope of the role SAP ISU & CRM Application Support Specialist:

  • Implement new business application software, capturing end user requirements and configuring, testing and integrating as necessary.
  • Support new project implementation aligned with business objective and solution architecture.
  • Implement new releases of existing business application software, capturing end user requirements and configuring, testing and integrating as necessary.
  • Provide 2nd line support (L2-4 as applicable) for business applications under role scope.
  • Produce specifications and designs for application and its components to meet defined business needs, retaining compatibility with enterprise and solution architectures.
  • Specify, design and maintain mechanisms for storage and access to both structured and unstructured information, in support of business information needs.
  • Design, create, test and document new and amended programme components, configuration, SQL, packages, code base and programs from supplied specifications in accordance with agreed standards.
  • Develop, implement and report the findings of suitable test schedules to measure and improve the quality of application solutions being deployed, to ensure that new and amended systems, configurations, packages, or services, together with any interfaces, perform as specified.
  • Integrate and test components and/or subsystems and their interfaces in order to create operational services.
  • Liaise IT service desk to facilitate robust service support for new and upgraded application solutions.
  • Facilitate productive relationships with and between key stakeholders, during the Planning management and implementation of business change, as applicable.
  • Ensure that project and business application support documentation is maintained.
  • Coordinate the work of suppliers and contractors during the development, testing and implementation of new or upgraded business modules or solutions.
  • Support and maintain the database infrastructure which underpins the Company's business applications and enterprise reporting requirements.
  • Provide estimates for scope of works and associated resourcing requirements for project planning purposes.
  • Own the responsibility for unit testing and code merge for changes and projects ( With external parties as needed).
  • Follow the agreed architecture, design patterns and the software development methodology.
  • Develop and deliver programs as per the requirements and coding guidelines with minimal supervision, & within the budget and timeframe.

Major accountabilities of the SAP ISU & CRM Application Support Specialist role - Approx % of time spent in role:

  • Responsible for application support and Continual Improvement taking into account functional and non-functional requirements 50%.
  • Work with an Implementation Partner/contractors to coordinate the development/implementation of services/application/component and the Configuration Management Database 20%.
  • Performing integration and process automation as per support or project need 10%.
  • Performing system and integration testing 10%.
  • Implementing IT quality assurance practices and procedures 10%.

Experience and capability requirements for the SAP ISU & CRM Application Support Specialist position:

Knowledge/experience:

  • Excellent technical knowledge and experience in SAP ISU and CRM Modules.
  • Good Utility industry work experience with ISU/CRM project implementation.
  • Experience of working in large scale and complex SAP environments.
  • Proven hands-on experience of SAP ISU/CRM support, configuration and integration.
  • Excellent understanding of configuration dependencies and integration points between different functional modules of SAP.
  • Excellent technical knowledge and experience in SAP HR and Payroll Process.
  • Good functional knowledge in UK Payroll rules and in HMRC Legislative topics.
    Experience of working in large scale and complex SAP environments.
    Proven hands-on experience of SAP HR/Payroll support, configuration and integration.
  • Excellent understanding of configuration dependencies and integration points between SAP modules of HR and Finance.
  • Experience in supporting business in Annual billing and other billing related support activities.
  • Good understanding on Linux & Windows operating systems & Oracle Databases.
  • Experienced in using Transport Expresso to support SAP transport process.
  • Good understanding on SAP system backup and System refresh.
